The devotiona for Shri Sri Shirdi Sai Baba is fast spreading throughout the world. The very name of this Universal Master unites the hearts and minds of people all over. It releases the feeling of Brotherhood, Love and Service among them and paves an easy and sure path to one’s peaceful and contended life and ultimate liberation.
The “Gurupoornima Celebrations” held at the Durga mandir in Scarborough on 28th July, 2002 witnessed the spiritual and emotional integration of the devotees. Sai Baba blessed His devotees by arriving here in the form of a marble idol at a home of a devotee in Markham and enabled all devotees in Toronto and US come together to do His Abhishek, sing Bhajans and do Arti on this sacred occasion. It was a wonderful event and many felt the presence of their beloved SAI. It is true that though BABA has left his mortal body years ago, even today thousands of devotees have experienced His presence, having met their demands. BABA always said “You Look To Me and I Will Look To You”.
Sacred Udi was distributed to all present and at the end Mahaprasad was served. The atmosphere was ‘Saimaya’ and everyone left with a feeling of great spiritual satisfaction.
A lot of Shirdi Sai devotees reside in the Greater Toronto and Canada, hence it would be worth noting that Sai Chitra Yatra started here in February 2002. Satsang is held every Thursday at the Shri Sai Dwarkamai, devotees wishing to join the “Sai Parivaar” come forward, let us surrender completely, worship faithfully and remember our SAI. If we, the children of Sai follow the Universal values of Love, Truth, Unity, Egolessness, Commitment, Forebearance, Help, Service and Surrender, he will someday fulfill our wish of having a Shirdi Sai Temple in our area. We just need to have simple sincere devotion with Shradha”-(Faith) and Saburi”(Patience) our Sai will be pleased.
